UNITED FRONT
PATRIOTS IN AUSTRIA. AUTHORITY AS BASIS. A SURPRISE DECISION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 17, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, April 16. The Manchester Guardian’s Vienna correspondent says the Reichpost announces that negotiations between Dr Dollfuss and Prince Starliemberg have resulted in a platform permitting the unification of all the patriotic associations. Herr Stepantillmann, the leader of the Fatherland Front, declares that the agreement is on a basis of the creation of an authoritarian State. Dr Dollfuss announced to a demonstration of 30,000 peasants at Graz that all the organisations were welded, which, in view of the recent dissensions, surprised Vienna.
