EX-HIGH COMMISSIONER.
MR PALLISER DEAD. Received March 14, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, March 13. The death has occurred of Mr Charles Palliser, formerly of New Zealand. Mr Charles Frederick Wray Bary Palliser, C.M.G., was educated in lieland. Ho joined the New Zealand Civil Service in 1873, being attached to the Colonial Museum. He was afterwards appointed to the Treasury and then went to the Audit Department. He was later auditor to the New Zealand Government in London and was subsequently High Commissioner for New Zealand. He was appointed secretary in 1910 and retired in 1916 to live in Cornwall.
