FABULOUS PRICES.

STAMP COLLECTION SOLD. LATE MR MANUS’S SPECIMENS. Received December 2, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 1. The sum of £35,000 was paid for a collection of British Empire stamps belonging to Mr H. P. Manus, the Amsterdam tobacco merchant and octogenarian. who died in 1931. He had collected for seventy years. The Mauritus varieties realised £4OOO and an early Australian collection realised high prices. Mr Manus originally scoured the world, resulting in the collection being so bulky that he confined his activities to the Empire during the last thirty years.
