OVERDUE VESSEL

INQUIRIES FOR LAUNCH. AUCKLAND, Sept. 23. Inquiries are being made regarding the fishing launch Idler, which is making a prolonged trip from the Bay of Plenty to Auckland. According to advice received by a relative of a member of the crew, the vessel was at Mercury Island a week ago, and had experienced engine trouble. The advice stated the vessel was leaving for Auckland immediately, but she has not been reported since. She is a white-painted launch, about 30 feet in length, and her license number is AKIBS. Mr Alexander Anderson is in charge of the vessel.
