RUGBY PLAYER COLLAPSES.
ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH Sept. 24. Alan Bowes, a Canterbury representative ltugby player, collapsed at a dinner given after the match with South Canterbury for the Ranfurly Shield on Saturday, and was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital. It is thought that Bowes was injured in a tackle, but the extent of his injuries will not be known until an X-ray examination to-morrow. His condition is not serious.
