MEMBERS’ SQUABBLE.

SATISFACTORY ENDING. Received December 15, 10.50 a.m. BRISBANE, Dec. 15. In the Assembly Mr E. Maher appeared at the bar of the House to answer a charge of having assaulted Mr E. Llewelyn. The Speaker read a letter from Mr Maher in which he tendered a full apology to the House and Mr Llewelyn. Tlie latter said he would accept some of the blame and he offered an apology for using certain words. The matter was then allowed to drop.

A message. received yesterday stated that Mr Llewelyn, in the course of a debate, said that Mr Maher had a filthy mind. A r Maher walked across the chamber and struck Mr Lleweiyn on the face, Mr Maher being suspended.
