Perrett v. scorer, Mise Fagan v. Mrs Russell, Mrs W. Pearce v. Mrs Smart, Miss Palmer v. Mre H. Pearce, Miss McKelvio v. Mrs Caldow, Miss Stovens v. Mrs Gould. The “home links” Coronation Medal and the Aotoaroa Cup competitions will be played on May 24. Mr H. Glasgow, of Titrakina, a member of Bulls Football Club, met with an accident while out shooting recently, and a badly injured foot will keep him in hospital for some time. Suppliers to tho Rangitikei Dairy Coy., Ltd., will bo paid at the rate of 9d per lb for April buttorfat. Very heavy frosts have been experienced here this week, and there is a good deal of winter sickness, coughs and colds being prevalent, with a fair amount of influenza. Makowhai camp is now nearing completion. A good deal of clearing and levelling had to be dono first. Now tho tents (each fitted with a wooden floor and a heater) have beon erected, as well as dining 'and social rooms, a cookhouso, and sanitary arrangements. About forty men are already in camp, and before long over 100 will be there. The men appear to bo perfectly contented in their now surroundings, and everything seems to bo right up-to-date. Locally trained horses will be seen under silk at June meetings. All Humbug and Fairway aro to raco at Eilershe, and Clopton will be taken to the Otaki gathering.
