MASSACRE OF NATIVES.

SYDNEY, Dec. 5

A radio message from Port Moresby confirms previous rumours that seventeen natives were massacred in the Fly River district, Papua. A canoe party mot. others encamped at the side of the river. They signed that they wanted to barter for tobacco and mixed with the campers. Women in the canoes distributed tomahawks among their men, who attacked the others savagely. A police patrol has gone to the scene.
