RUSSIAN BISHOP SHOT. ROME, Nov. 30. The Vatican has learned that Monsignor Massino, a Russian Orthodox Bishop, was shot on July 6 for refusing to adhere to the Metropolitan Sergius’ acknowledgment of the Soviet. Father Romano Medvied was sentenced to death on a similar charge, but the sentence was commuted to one of ten years’ imprisonment.
