FALSE PRETENCES.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTSON\ July 3. Edward George Neel, aged 34. a nnj tive of England, was to-day. fined £o for obtaining money from the Unemployment Board by falsely representing himself as a married man with two children, and on each of four other charges he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if oaUed upon. The total involved was £4 17s 6d.

This is the first prosecution of its kind in Wellington, and it was mentioned that through it Neel is ineligible fmr work under the unemployment scheme.
