REVOLT IN HONDURAS.

DECLARATION OF MARTIAL LAW. Received April 22, 8.5 a.m. NEW YORK, April 20. A message from Tegucigalpa (the capital of Honduras) states that the Honduran Congress has declared a state of martial law throughout the country, following the revolution on the northern coast which began on Sunday. STATEMENT OF POSITION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 20. The Foreign Secretary, Air Arthur Henderson, stated in the House of Commons to-day that, according to a cable received from the British Charge d’Affaires in Nicaragua, bandits had been active on the eastern coast of tho Republic, hot had been checked b,v the National Guard and were reported to be retreating inland. Air Henderson regretted that in these disturbances two British West Indian subjects from Jamncia, Messrs Henry Roper and Walter Alarming, were reported as having lost their lives. Three United States warships had been dispatched to the east coast ports with authority, he understood, t.r> disembark armed parties should the necessity arise. In the opinion of the officer commanding the National Guard, the situation was now under control.
