MAN FOUND ON ROAD.
WANDERED FROAI HASTINGS. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, April 20. Lying in an unconscious state about two miles south of Poukawa, James Davis Goff, who had been missing from 200 Davis Street, Hastings, since 11.30 p.m. on Friday was found by Mr AN • Donald, postmaster at Poukawa, shortly after eight o’clock on Sunday evening. When found Air Gofl was clad only in a dressing gown, pyjamas and slippers. He was lying near the middle of the road in the vicinity of the Silverstream bridge, and though there had been rain his clothes were dry, indicating that he had not been lying, there for very long. He bore no marks that would indicate his having been knocked down by n vehicle. Considerable anxiety was felt when it became known that Mr Goff v as missing as he was only discharged on Friday afternoon from hospital, where lie had been confined for some weeks as a result of injuries and concussion suffered through falling from the roof of a house into the street. Late to-night it was reported that he had recovered consciousness.
