HEALTH TALKS.

Miss Janette G. Falconer gave the fourth of the series of health talks at the Kosy lecture hall last evening to an appreciative audience. The speaker briefly summarised the chief points in her previous'addresses and emphasised the effects of the emotion on the body. She showed how negative emotions such as fear, worry, anger, greed hatred, etc., not only impair tho vitality, but are also an active factor in bringing about destructive diseased conditions, manifesting as insanity, paralysis, premature greyness, loss of memory, etc., while the opposite emotions of courage, happiness, love, kindliness, generosity, etc., have a constructive, healthy effect on the body. In these days of rush, hurry and competition, an important thing to remember is that one’s mind and body need complete relaxation daily if efficiency is to he maintained, said Miss Falconer in her concluding remarks.
