WINTER PASTIMES.

TAKARO PING-PONG CLUB. The annual meeting of the Takaro Ping-Pong Club was - held last evening, when there was a good attendance. The annual report disclosed successful operations. All material had been paid for and there was a credit balance of £7. The eleetion of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr H. Bentley; secretary, Mr F. Scott; club captain, Mr D. O’Brien; committee, Misses Pickering, Bovis, King and Messrs Bentley, Scott, O’Brien and E. Norris. The opening day was fixed for May 5. The formation of a Ping-Pong Association in Palmerston North was discussed, and Messrs O’Brien and Norris were appointed delegates to attend a meeting with other clubs to further consider the matter.
