SUMMER MATCHES PLAYED. Glorious weather favoured the summer competitions conducted by the Manawatu Golf Club at the Hokowhitu links yesterday and the matches provided keen enjoyment. The course and appointments were in splendid order. The morning bogey handicap attracted 25 entries and resulted in C. G. Moore (5), A. E. Ekstedt (scr.) and E. Fletcher (14) returning scores of two up. Yesterday afternoon there was a medal handicap with the same number of entries. The winners proved to be J. Field, 87—15—72, with F. C. Hay, 89—15—74, next.
