UNEMPLOYMENT CONCERT.

The Unemployment Committee has been able to render a good deal of useful service to those in need of assistance, but unfortunately funds are running very low, and there is need for more money to be raised. With this object in view the Garrison Band and some of the local artists have kindly consented to provide a most excellent concert programme at the Opera House to-morrow evening at 8.30. Among the artists will bo Mrs E. McDonald, Miss Morgan, Mr J. W. Davidson, Mr Loveday’s trio, Mr Gedson and Mr B. Cox, the saxaphone player. Tho programme is being put over the air through the courtesy of 2ZF, and those having tho wireless in the country aro respectfully requested to inrito their friends to hear tho programme and also to take up a collection for tho fund. On the last occasion about £lO was received from country listener’s-in. It is hoped that there will be a large attendance and that a substantial sum will bo raised to help tho committee in their work.
