MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
In the Alagistrate-’s Court to-day before Air J. L. Stout, S.M., William George Pemberton, aged 19 years, a grocer’s assistant of no fixed residence, was charged with breaking and entering Kelly’s Cash Store at Napier and stealing the sum of £52. On the application of the police accused was remanded to appear at Napier. A charge against Pemberton of being idle and disorderly in that he had insufficient lawful visible means of support was withdrawn. Robert AA’illiam Reay, of Palmerston North, a farm labourer, aged 27, was remanded until December 13 on a charge of breaking and entering the premises of the Premier Drapery Company, Ltd., Senior-Sergeant AA’hitehouse stating that other charges were pending against accused.
Both men were arrested at an early hour this morning.
