PAHIATUA, Dec. 4,

Miss Ruth Turner, of Puketiri, Napier, is the guest of her grand-parents, Mr and Mrs S. Bolton, “Oete,” Pahiatua. Mr and Mrs lan Mac Gibbon left to-day for Christchurch, where they intend spending three weeks’ holiday. Mr and Alia Bruesell, of Lower Hutt, are visiting their daughter, Airs J. Hutton.

The following will represent Pahiatua in the Stockwell Angling Cup competition against Woodville: —J. Robertson, F. Parkcs, A. J. .Morgan, A. Pratt, J. O’Styke and C. MeCardle. Yesterduy members of the Pahiatua Bowling Club visited Masterton and tried conclusions with the Masterton Club. The contest resulted in a win for the home club. Needham 1, Air Ji A. Ross 2. The Cricket Colts yesterday afternoon journeyed to Eketahuna, and there inflicted a defeat upon a home side eleven. Pahiatua scored 51 and 115, against 39 and 32.
