WOODVILLE, Deo. 4. At the invitation o£ the teachers of the District High School, a large number of parents and friends asomblesd at the school to see the primary tots present an excellent programme. The children rendered each item in a most creditable manner, and the teachers are to be congratulated on the results of their labours. The Bowling Club’s green was in excellent order for the annual Ruahine Pennant matches, which took place on Wednesday. Teams were present from Dannevirke, Ekotahuna and Woodvillo. Unfortunately, the morning’s play was hindered somewhat by rain, but the day turnod out fine by mid-day and some excellent bowling took place. The teams were as follow: — Seniors: Dannevirke' A, Clark, Carston, D. Williams, J. Williams (skip); Dannevirke B, Greenwood, Smith, Tatere, Gilbert (skip)’; Eketahuna A, Cowlan, Dagg, Carruthers, Simpson (skip); Eketahuna B, Fleming, Knight, Percy, McKenzie (skip); Woodville A, Grinlinton, Curry, Dr. Mules, Pickering (skip); Woodvillo B, Horn, Pearson, Nicholas, Cuming (skip). Juniors: Dannevirke A, Barker, Foote, Gosling, Osborn (skip); Dannevirke B. Martin, Weaver, Howath, Glover (skip); Eketahuna A, Bowing, Ede, Wicks, Gooding (skip); Eketahuna B, Payne, Tomlinson, McGill, Hornblow (skip); Woodville A, Offwood, Tennent, Bowman, Aim (skip); Woodvillo B, Nelson, Bailey, Henderson, McCormack (skip).
