HORSES SCRATCHED. FOR RICCARTON ENGAGEMENTS. Per Press Association. ' - CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. All the horses in the nomination of Sir George Clifford at the C.J.C. meeting next week were scratched at 11.30 o'clock today. The horses effected on tho opening day are: —YY’insome Hind in the Champagne Stakes and Russley Plate, Straightcourse in the Autumn Plate, Semper Paratus in the Gimcrack Handicap, YY’aterline in the Sockburn Handicap and Full Feather in the Courtney Handicap. YY’atcrlino will also forego his engagements in the Autumn Handicap on the second day.
