FOXTON.

RUGBY FOOTBALL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, April 11. Football opens on Saturday, Bulls seniors boing drawn to moot Rata on tho latter club’s ground. The Bulls firteen will be a strong forward one, and tho rearguard will again includo McKonzio, D. Cameron, S. Richardson (who will probbaly bo the half-back) and sovoral, promoted juniors, of whom Coopor is a player of promise. Although meeting a strong combination in tho initial game, the Bulls team will put up a great fight, and will take some beating. Both forwards and backs have boon in solid training for several weeks, and they will bo “running on” when most players aro stopping. Great interest is being shown in Rugby this season in both senior and junior grades, and it is quite on the cards that tho Bulls fifteens will prove to be “hard nuts” to “crack” with the colours up. Rev. P. H. Leonard will referee Saturday’s game.
