BRITISH BY-ELECTION.

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 9. A very interesting by-election • will take place shortly in West Fulham, one of the London constituencies. Dr. Spero (Labour) won the seat at the last general election from the Conservatives, who had held it sfor many years. He is now resigning owing to ill-health. A new Labour candidate is forthcoming in Mr Banfield, a member of the local borough council, who is very popular among the working class of the constituency. At tire general election the figures were: Dr. Spero, 16,190: Sir Cyril Cobb (Conservative), 13,979: G. A. Gale (Liberal), 5930.
