SURRY HILLS SHOOTING.
WOMAN RELEASED. SYDNEY, April 9. The City Coroner found the shooting of John Prendergast by Mrs Kathleen Barry to be justifiable homicide. Mrs Barry, who was charged with murder, was released from custody. On March 27, receiving information that a shop in Surry Hills was being raided.the police went there, andTound John Prendergast, aged 23, - ds'ing in the yard. Ho succumbed an hour later from a bullet wound in the stomach. Mrs Barry, the owner of the shop, was arrested and charged with murder. Three men were captured by the police on charges of breaking and entering.
