RED MENACE.
ACTIVITIES IN UNITED STATES. NEWYORK, April 4. Mr Whalen, Commissioner of Police, told the New York Chamber of Commerce to-day that the police had documents to prove that Moscow was directing Communist activities in the United States, including plans for a nation-wide demonstration on May 1. Mr Whalen promised to make the documents public within a short time, and warned the Chamber of the seriousness of the Red menace.
