TYPHOID OUTBREAK.

CASES IN NEW PLYMOUTH. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, March 23. Five children are in the New Plymouth Hospital suffering from typhoid fever. The cases are not serious, and the authorities do not anticipate any spread of the infection. Four of the children, whose ages range from four to eleven, are of one family. The other child stayed a week-end with the family. All five children went swimming in the Tehenui River, and the health officer thinks possibly that that was the source of the infection. Other children of the same family who did not swim were not infected.
