BOWLING.

SECOND ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) ROTORUA. Feb. 22. The second Rotorua bowling tournament opens on Monday with the excellent total of 44 entries. There are four sections, where hitherto there has been three, thus obviating one team getting a bye and going to the final. The standard of the teams also in this tournament is ahead of those entered in previous years. Section A includes Brighting (Hataitai), run-ner-up to E. J. Hill (Wellington) in the first Rotorua tournament, concluded on Mondav last. F. Needham (West End, Auckland), formerly of Palmerston North, has a rink entered in this section. In Section B, G. W. Wardrop (Woodville) is an interesting entry. In Section C is Professor M. Walker (Auckland) who competed in the first tournament. D. Munro (Island Bay), winner of last year’s second -tournament, and Crawford (Ivarori) runner-up last year to Munro, are also in Section C. Fraser (Palmerston North) is in Section D.
