MARRIAGE DOCUMENT INVOLVED Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, Feb. ?}• In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Philip McLaughlin, of Hinds, was charged with having made a false document by signing the name of G eor ß 9 Tait to a consent of marriage °f a minor. George Tait, of Ashburton/ was charged with abetting McLaughl ln m the commission of the offence. Evidence was given to the effect that in November, 1926, Tait, not wishing t° visit Ashburton, asked McLaughlin to sign a document relating to t) ie marriage of the former’s son.
