GOLF.
MATCHES AT HOKOWHITU. JUNE MEDAL AND CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND. The high wind and heavy course had an effect on the play at Hokowhitu -uoo serous eqx sequently were not good. The first qualifying round of the club championship and the June medal competition were got off, and the following were the best cards banded in: —

A bogey match was played at the Fcilding gplf links on Saturday and resulted as follows: — A grade.—Stitchbury all square. B grade.—Pettigrew 3 up. N.S.W. TOURNAMENT. SYDNEY, June 9. R. H. and B. C. Betting'ton won. the New South Wales amateur State foursomes in tho golf championship, with an aggregate of 154. Sturrock and Apperley were second with 156, Fawcett and Whitton third with 157. Play generally was not of championship class.
