In the course of excavating work during the past week in connection with the underground railway station near the Town Hall, workmen have found nine, cedar coffins. One was filled with bricks; the second contained the remains of a dress suit; others fine dust.

Their presence is a mystery. Many thousands of people have passed over the spot in the last half century.
