SYDNEY MYSTERY
NINE CEDAR COFFINS FOUND. ONE FILLED WITH BRICKS. / WORK ON UNDERGROUND RAILWAY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). Received April 11, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, April 11. In the course of excavating work during the past week in connection with the underground railway station near the Town Hall, workmen have found nine, cedar coffins. One was filled with bricks; the second contained the remains of a dress suit; others fine dust.
Their presence is a mystery. Many thousands of people have passed over the spot in the last half century.
