REMAINS AT STONEHENGE. " LAND TO BE PURCHASED FOR NATION. (British Official Wireless.) Received March 29, 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, March 28. Although the land on which the famous Druidical remains at Stonehenge has long been preserved as a place of historic interest, there has been some danger that the six hundred and fifty acres, in which Stonehenge stands might pass into the hands of builders. A public appeal for funds to purchase this land for a national trust has met with a splendid response and the sum necessafy has now been subscribed.
