STOLEN NAVAL PLANS
AORANGI PASSENGERS DETAINED SECRET INVESTIGATIONS. (Australian Press Association.—United ■' Service.) Received March 30, 9.25 a.m. VICTORIA (8.C.), March 29, Two men and one woman, thirdclass passengers by the Aorangi, were placed under technical arrest on the arrival of the steamer here. The travellers were arrested as the result of cabled instructions from Australia. It is reported that they are suspected of having in their possession stolen naval plans. The greatest secrecy marked the investigations, which were made by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and naval officers from the Esquimault naval station. The people in question were searched, but it is not revealed whether anything was found.
