MR AMERY’S TOUR.

QUESTION AS TO EXPENSE. (Australian Press Association—United Service.) Received July 6, 12.15 p.m. LONDON, July 5. In the House of Commons to-day an inquiry was made as to the cost of Mr L. C. Amery’s Empire tour. Mr Amery stated that the expenditure was chargeable to a vote of £3055, exclusive of his expenses as representative of the Empire Marketing Board, which were chargeable to its fund, and Iris staff were the guests of the various Dominions.

“1 am glad to take this opportunity of expressing appreciation of the Dominions’ generous hospitality,” said Mr Amery.
