LATE COMMERCIAL.
Abraham and Williams, Limited, report. —At the To Kuiti winter ewe Fair on Wednesday our yarding comprised 3040 breeding ewes and included some nice quality lines. The attendance was largo, buyers being present from the Waikato, Palmerston North, .Wanganui and Raetihi. In most cases buyers were cautious m opening their bidding, but .once started it was good and in many instances keen. Most lines were gold under the hammer and only one lot of our entry went out unsold. Some of our prices were:—6-tooth and 4-year ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 38s; 4 and 5-year ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 22s tio 295; low conditioned ewes in lamb to Romney rams, 17s to 21s 6d; 2, 4 and 6tooth ewes in lamb to Southdown rams, 38s 3d; 4 and 5-year ewes in lamb to Southdown rams, 27s 9d to 325; poor conditioned ewes in lamb tio Romney and Southdown rams, 14s 6d to 20s; forward conditioned wethers, 29s 6d; wether hoggets, 22s 3d; 2£year steers, £7 6s.
