DRAINAGE WORKS.

SLUGGISH ItIVER BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Sluggish River Drainage Board was held this morning, Mr It. Murphy presiding. Other trustees present were Messrs •£'. Foster, A. Brook-Tnylor, H. Wilton and J. Print.

Tho overseer, Mr E. Smith, reported that all the drain cleaning contracts had been completed andxthat there had been no complaints of any consequence. Mr IT. Lancaster wrote stating that he had dug out a drain passing through his property to the original width of five feet at* the bottom and asking the board to maintain it at that width.— It was decided that when the .specifications for future years were being drawn up provision should be made for the drain to be five feet wide at tho bottom.
