WYANDOTTE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. Mr J. R. Cunninghame, of Palmerston North, presided over tho annual meeting of the North Island Wyandotte Club, held at the Showgrounds this morning. In his report the president stated that there had not been ranch activity, as shortly after his election Mr Robert had had to resign his position as secretary owing to ill-health. Urgent business had been transacted by Mr Inkpen, but the club had been handicapped by being without such an official. The annual show had been held ni Palmerston North last year, and there had been very good entries, especially in tho utility classes. The membership was still low, and he urged that members should do their best to enlarge it. Greater membership would advance the interests of the club, which were to promote the breeding. improvement and exhibition of oil varieties of Wyandotte fowls. The president (Mr Cunninghame) and the vice-presidents (Messrs L. B. Holdaway, Hukanui, and J. Stewart, Wanganui) were re-elected. Mr W. Ink pen, of Palmerston North, was elected secretary and treasurer. Alter a discussion tho president and secretary were elected to the council with power to add. Mr W. T. Penny was appointed auditor. Tho secretary was instructed to write to Mr J. M. Barrie, of Otane, who, after having won tho Silver Wyandotte Challenge Shield outright, had returned it for competition, thanking him for his action. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Inkpen, Mr Cunninghame and the Manawatu A. and P. Association.
