MILKING SHORTHORN SALE.
TWO ANIMALS SOLD. A sale of pedigree Milking Shorthorn cattle was held in the pavilion at the Showgrounds this morning immediately alter a demonstration given by Mr A. R. Green. There was an attendance of 150. There wore, however, few r bidders, and a number of really good cattle—both bulls and heifers —were passed, failing either to reach the limit imposed on tlie salesman, or even to elicit a bid. Mr R. P. Abraham was tho auctioneer, selling on behalf of Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. Tho only snlcs made were as follow : On behalf of Mr W. J. Slack, Koputara: Bull, Kereru Hector (dam Bannennorc —Kent Chase Dina), calved September 13th, 1925 —to Mr J. I). Wylie, of Sefton, North Canterbury, for 15 guineas. On behalf of tho same owner: Cow, Kent Chase Dina (Red Marlborough of Kent Chase, Peach Grove Ludy Dina ■II.). calved September 22, 1922, for 10 guineas—Mr L. Edwards, Ashhurst.
