MAYORAL CAMPAIGN.
MR HOWARDS AT WEST END
There '.vas a large and representative gathering«of the ratepayers at West End on Saturday evening when Mr R„ Edvards explained his policy in regard to the Mayoral elections. Mr Arthur .lust occupied the chair and briefly in .reduced the candidate, after which M • Edwards delivered an address o;i similar lines to those already, given at other places. *At the conclusion, on the motions of Messrs Birch and Christensen, a hearty vote of thanks a id confidence in Air Edwards was cair; :d unanimously.
Air AY R. Alayes, who is in the field as a candidate for council honours, then addressed those present and he, too, was accorded a vote of thanks a,nd confidence. The us: al questions were asked each candidate and answered satisfactorily.
