Late 1 st evening there passed atyay at. the I ospitai a highly respected resident of Palmerston North in, the person t f Mrs H. Stephenson., The deceased lady was compelled to enter the inist: iution. for an operation a week Jig i but pneumonia intervened and, des; ite careful nursing, death resulted. fhe late Mrs Stephenson was born at Palmerston North 36 years ago and passed her childhood days at E itzhei b rt, receiving her education at the Fit? lerbert and Tiritea Schools. She wiis of a quiet disposition, but during ) er residence in this district gained s large circle of friends, who will re ci ive with deepest regret the news of her passing. Besides a husband tin deceased lady leaves five children, the eldest being nine years of age ai d the youngest a baby of five weeks. 'here is also one brother, Mr A. R. B: yant (Levin), and five sisters, Mesdar.it i Brockie (Ashhurst), Bungate (K< Ivin Grove), Boswell (Inglewood), Field (Aokautere), and Miss Bryant (Palmerston North).
