BULGARIAN PLOT.
TO OVERTHROW THRONE. EIGHTY-TWO ARRESTED. PRAIS, Dec. 30. Details have been received from Sofia of an elaborate plot to overthrow the Bulgarian throne. Five hundred Communists arranged to take possession of the principal railway stations and public buildings in Sofia, while 500 others seized the barracks. Officers of the army were to bo arrested simultaneously in their homes. The plot was discovered ; and 82 leaders arrested. Some confessed that the aim was to secure the abdication of tho King and to establish a Communist dictatorship. Since the discovery of the plot a number of Communists have committed suicide, while Srainoff, who was recently condemned to 10 years’ imprisonment, threw himself from the third storey window of the prison and was critically injured.—A. and N.Z. cable.
Boris 111. succeeded to the throne on the abdication of his father in October, 1918. He will be 33 years old this month.
