HOCKEY.
HIGH SCHOOL OLD GIRLS. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the High School Old Gills’ Hockey Club was held last evening, when there was a large and enthusiastic attendance of new and old members. In reviewing tho activities of the past season, the annual report mentioned that the club had experienced a most successful season, having annexed the championship in both the Saturday ana the Wednesday competitions, while it had also secured the honours at the association’s seven-a-side tourney. Tho election of officers for tho ensuing season resulted :—President, Miss C. B. Mills; vice - presidents, Mesdames Oram, Murray, Aitchison, Misses Simkin and Hodges and Messrs Hodder, Tanner, McMinn, C. Aitchison and R. J. Williams; delegates to the Manawatu Association, Mr A. E. Blackbourn and one other to be appointed; captain, Miss G. McKenzie; vice-cap-tain, Miss D. do Cleene; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Waters; selection committee, captain, vice-captain and secretary. Some discussion surrounded the question of the formation of a separate ladies’ association, the following motion being finally passed: “That this meeting favours the formation of a separate association to govern ladies’ hockey in the Manawatu district.” Tho first practice was set down for Saturday week. PHOENIX CLUB. The officers elected at the annual meeting of the Pnoenix Club were: — President, Mr G. Watchorn; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs A. Ekstedt, L. Martin, B. Pratt,' J. Cousins, E. Barnes, G. Luoni, N. Wallace, B. Jacobs, N. Sinclair, It. Meatyard; secretary, Mr A. H. Ward; treasurer, Mr C. J. “Wilkie; management committee, Messrs A. Anderson, It. Mayo and A. H. Ward; delegates to annual meeting of association, Messrs It. Brace and A. H. Ward.
