NORTHERN PAIRS TOURNAMENT

The Northern Bowling Chib conducted a pairs tournament on Boxing Day, the following players taking part:—Leads: Parker, Ennis, Dvson. Thurston, Teale, Young, Robinson, Hodder, Kensington, Barker; skips, Welch, Larconib, Thornley, Cunningliame, McLeod, Stephenson, Bryant, Stuart, Hart, Allnittt, Rumble. Eire games were played, four of 10 heads and the other of 12. J. C. Young proved the most successful lead, securing the maximum number of wins, while Allnutt and Thornley each had four wins as skips. Afternoon and morning tea was provided by the wives of the bowlers.
