TRADE TREATY.
AUSTRALIA AND CANADA. OPPOSITION BEiNG SHOWN. Received November 0, Noon. VANCOUVER, Nov. 3. Mr R. H. Poo Icy, the Conservative Opposition Leader in the British Columbia Parliament, in his opening speech of the session, immediately attacked the Dominion’s CanadianAustralian treaty. He- said that thousands of cases of Australian eggs already were destined for Vancouver as the result of the treaty, to sell at 48 cents against 05 cents obtainable by the local producers. Ho foreshadowed a vigorous anti-treaty campaign by Western Canadians. —A. and N.Z. cable.
