TENNYSON’S PREDICTION. ENGLAND MAY REGAIN THEM. Received November 6, 1.35 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 5. Tennyson, on the eve ol departure for the West Indies as skipper oi the Alarylebone touring cricket team, predicted that England would regain the ashes in lt)OG. fit warned Englishmen to take a leaf from tho Australians’ book by keeping lit. He said that the latter’s winter baseball kept them in fielding and batting trim. He suggested that Englishmen play squash racquets, and added that no was heartily glad the eight-ball oyer was barred. He felt that it should be banned altogether from the game from the viewpoint of the strain on the bowler.—Reuter.
