STRUCK WITH IRON BAR.

TWO WOMitN INJURED. SYDNEY, July 18. Following a quarrel between David William Cole and another youth, at Wollahra, the latter’s father complained to the police that his son had been attacked by young Cole. The police advised him to proceed by summons and he left the police station. In the early hours oi Sunday morning, Airs Cole, aged 54, and her daughter, aged 2i, heard a knocking at tne door and went downstairs ana opened it. They were savagely attacked by a man with an iron bar, who battered their heads. They were sent to hospital both with compound fractures ot the skull.

The police later arrested the father and son. —Press Association.
