VERSAILLES TREATY.
GERMANY’S DAY OF MGURNING
LONDON, June 29. The Times's Alunich correspondent says that the anniversary of the signing of the Versailles Treaty was observed as a day oi mourning throughout Bavaria. Public and private dancing was officially prohibited in order to remind the frivolous of Germany’s worst mistake since the war. During the past week a succession of ultra-patriotic meetings has been held, at which speakers sought to show that all Germany’s post-war errors and difficulties were indirectly clue to Hie treaty which, they urged, must be revised, otherwise neither Germany nor the world could ever hope for a permanent peace. —Times.
