LINTON RIFLE CLUB.
OPEN RANGE SHOOT. Tho Saturday section of the Linton Rifle Club fired the sixth and final series in the Greer and Pickering Cup series on the Aokautere range on Saturday. The conditions were extremely difficult and the returns witnessed a marked falling away when compared with the earlier scores of the weekend shootists. Some very fair returns were, however, forthcoming at the first of the two 600 ranges fired over, four members returning 41’s and two bettering this figure by one point, but they could not maintain it and 39 was the best return at the second visit to the mound. Following are the detailed returns:—
Greer Pickering Ag. J. Ramsay .. .. 42 39 81 J. Dalziell .... ... 4L 39 80 T. Kdwards .. ... 41 39 80 J. Carter ... 42 37 79 J. Griffiths .. ... 41 37 78 G. Shelley .... ... 4136 77 W. Kells ... 35 41 76 W. Ball ... 37 36 73 H. Biirlow .. ... 33 34 67 H. H. Rrazer 34 30 64
