BOWLING. (From Our Own ’ Correspondent). \t a. recent ineoting of the committee of the Bowling Club, it was resolved that the Nye Ferns be made a rinks contest. Rules governing the competition wero set up. The selection committee, in accordance with instructions, has chosen the following rinks:-Spring, Walton, Thomson, McCall (skip); Hornblow, Ilollings, Woods, Christie .(skip); Powell, Mnttar, Pearson, Nye (skip); McMulhan MeKeown Whibley, Roore (skip); Parkas, Winstanloy, Walker, Smith (skip)Healey, Downes, Barr, Huntley (skip). Tho drawing for the first round resulted as follows:—McCall v. Nye, Nye v. Christie, Christie v. Smith, Smith v. Roore, Roore v. Huntley, Huntley v. McCall. It is anticipated the first game will be played on Wednesday next. . It has been decided that, as it would bo difficult to carry out two rinks contests at the one time, the Wilford Cup be decided by a one-day tournament —probably during the coming Holidays.

Hartley carried out tho duties of M.C. The wiring gang for the Ilorowhenua Electric Power Board working at tho Manawatu Heads is making good progress with the installations and' beach residents hope to have tho “juice” by Christmas.
