VITAL STATISTICS.
FIGURES FOR THE MONTH. The vital statistics issued by the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages at Palmerston North for the month of January, ending to-day, show that, during the period under review, the number of births registered was 42, deaths 28 and marriages 10. Of the latter, two were solemnised by the Registrar. During the previous month the total registrations were as follow: Births3l, deaths 18, marriages 30. During that month five marriages were solemnised by the registrar.
