FIELD DAY FOR FARMERS.

DEMONSTRATIONS AT K.U'WHATA. Considerable interest is being evinced by farmers in the district in the demonstration to be given by Mr J. W. Deem. Government fields instructor, on Mr A. Montgomerie's farm (Rangitikei Line). Kauv,hata. on Tuesday next at 12.30 p.m. The subjects to he taken by Mr Deem will comprise lucerne growing, manures and mailin':ng. and on account of their importance in tli,. successful conduct, of modern farming operations, it is confidently expected that there will be a large gathering of producers. A demonstration on the Ayrshire cow will be given by Mr E. Mills, official demonstrator for the Ayrshire Breeders' Association, who is naturally welt-versed in bis subject. Light refreshments will be provided on the grounds. The demonstrations will be given under the joint auspices of the Kauwhula branch of the Farmers’ Union and the New Zealand Ayrshire Breeders’ Association.
