Lambs also were in bettor demand. Store sheep: Only a medium quality yarding. A very nice line of 450 four and live-year owes in lamb to Southdown rams realised 23s Id, medium wethers and medium ewes in iambs sold freely; Lambs seemed a trifle easier, Fat cattle: We yarded 10 pens, which included some very prime bullocks and heifers. The demand was good at limited prices. Store cuttle: A good entry sold at late rates. Dairy stock; A very heavy yarding consisting chiefly of dairy heifers. Anything showing quality sold well, backward and crossbred stock met with a very poor demand. We quote: -- Fat sheep: Wethers, light 20s, 22s 3d to 24s 6d, ewes 17s 2d,’ 17s 6d to 19s 3d, lambs, poor quality 15s 6d to 17s 2d.
